What’s more important than learning to sing? As physically evident from radio, a good producer is probably second to none and following closely behind is the ability to entertain. When choosing a place to study for your career, be SURE they have the latest greatest producers that are not STUCK (Nashville diehards or hip hop loopers that sell crap for $10,000 and it is free to everyone else including them!) Not many people know how to sing anymore as evident by the many horrific award shows that actually allow these overproduced singing icons to sing without the aid of auto tune! OUCH!!! When only money is left to buy a career, OR perhaps a bit of beauty and a sexy bod, or maybe just because the singer has enough tatts and piercing to “PULL OFF THE ROCK LOOK”, it is a disappointment that more people don’t care. They don’t care that there is no substance to the voice, or the singer hasn’t a clue where the next pitch should be placed, or that they have no timed gestures, no entertainment value, no ability to talk to an audience that paid high ticket prices. All that matters to the industry is if money is being made in a short period of time…a cookie cutter rhythmic crap track that gets the short lived diva out and about. Then when her career begins to fall…so does her life and her life’s choices. I hope our label can bring back singers and good music and GREAT ENTERTAINERS. WE need hope and a prayer and of course, a lot of money…………But I still have that dream that singers reign. ing closely behind is the ability to entertain.
